Breeze Client
Breeze Client is a Minecraft Java Edition launcher built around one core idea: give players complete control over their experience. The goal is not another FPS booster with cosmetics on top. It is a fully customizable client where you decide exactly how everything looks, feels, and performs.
Breeze Client 1.0.0 is publicly available. These docs describe the current release; the launcher keeps itself up to date automatically as new versions ship.
Installation
Download Breeze Client from the download page. The installer handles every dependency automatically, including a bundled Java 21 runtime, so you do not need a separate Java installation.
- Windows: Run the
.exeinstaller. If Windows SmartScreen appears, click "More info" then "Run anyway". - macOS & Linux, Native builds are planned for a future release. Follow the Discord for availability.
Microsoft Login
Breeze uses your existing Microsoft account: the same one tied to your Minecraft Java Edition license. There is no separate Breeze account to create. Click Sign In, log in through Microsoft, and your profile is ready.
Authentication is handled entirely through Microsoft's official OAuth system. Breeze never sees or stores your Microsoft password. The launcher verifies your Minecraft license directly through Mojang's API before allowing multiplayer access.
Custom Themes
Custom Theme System
Design your own visual theme for the Breeze launcher and in-game overlay. Upload custom background images, change color palettes, adjust typography, and save multiple themes to switch between them. No coding required.
Themes apply to the launcher interface and to Breeze's in-game HUD elements. You can create a theme from scratch or start from a built-in preset and modify it.
Nametag Styles
Custom Nametags
Customize how player nametags appear in-game. Adjust font, size, color, background opacity, and display conditions. Show or hide health bars, distance, or other player info alongside names.
Nametag customization is visible to other Breeze users. It is cosmetic only and does not affect gameplay or interact with anti-cheat systems.
UI Modes
Breeze UI or Vanilla
Not everyone wants a custom client interface in-game. If you prefer the standard Minecraft experience, you can switch back to vanilla modules and buttons. Breeze will still run in the background providing cape sync, auth, and Fabric support without overlaying anything on screen.
In-Game Branding
The Breeze name and branding that appears in-game: such as the client indicator or cosmetics watermark: is fully optional. If you would rather not have any visible Breeze presence in your game, you can disable it entirely from the settings panel.
Fabric Support
Breeze ships with Fabric built in. You do not need to install Fabric separately. Drag any compatible .jar mod file into your Breeze mods folder and it loads automatically on next launch.
Mods go here:
Windows: %APPDATA%\.breeze\profiles\default\mods\
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Breeze/profiles/default/mods/
Linux: ~/.breeze/profiles/default/mods/
Compatibility
What works with Breeze
Breeze is compatible with the Fabric ecosystem including Sodium, Iris, Lithium, and the full range of Fabric performance and utility mods. Vulkan-based renderers are supported where Fabric compatibility allows.
In Progress Bedrock Edition
Bedrock Edition support is actively being researched. There is no release date yet. Java Edition will remain the primary focus for the foreseeable future.
FPS and Performance
FPS improvement is a core focus but not the only one. Breeze is optimized to run well on mid-range hardware. During internal testing on an i5 processor with 8 GB RAM, the client achieved 200 to 300 FPS at lower chunk render distances. Higher render distances show more variance depending on the system and loaded mods.
Performance is improved through a combination of bundled Fabric performance mods, JVM argument optimization configured automatically by the launcher, and removal of unnecessary background processes.
Capes
Capes purchased through the Breeze store are stored server-side and sync across every device you log into. Animated capes with per-frame rendering are fully supported. Your cape is visible to other Breeze Client users.
Equipping a Cape
- Sign into your account at BreezeClient.net or in the launcher
- Go to the Capes section of your dashboard
- Click any owned cape to equip it
- Changes apply within a few seconds on all devices
Cosmetics Store
In Development User-Uploaded Cosmetics
We are actively exploring user-submitted cape and cosmetic uploads as part of a creator program. We are working through the moderation, security, and partner impact questions before opening this fully. Stay tuned via the Discord and News page for updates on when this launches.
Current cosmetics are purchased through the store at BreezeClient.net. All payments go through PayPal. Creator commissions are paid out directly to creators.
Account Dashboard
Sign into BreezeClient.net with your Microsoft account to access your dashboard. From there you can manage owned capes, view purchase history, open support tickets, and check your account status.
Troubleshooting
Login loop or stuck on sign-in
Sign out from all Microsoft accounts in your browser, clear cookies for microsoft.com and live.com, then try again from the launcher or website.
Cape not showing to other players
Both players need Breeze Client installed and running. Capes are only visible between Breeze users. Make sure your cape is set to equipped in the dashboard.
Crash on launch
Check the logs at ~/.breeze/logs/latest.log for the error. The most common cause is an incompatible mod. Remove all mods and add them back one at a time to identify the conflict.
