This policy covers the Breeze Client launcher, the Breeze mod inside Minecraft, Breeze's online service at api.breezeclient.net and this website, breezeclient.net. In it, "Breeze", "we" and "us" mean Breeze Client, which runs these services and decides how the personal data described here is used (in data protection law, the controller). Questions go to support@breezeclient.net.
The short version
- We know your Minecraft username and UUID, what you own and wear in Breeze, and what you choose to send us. We never see your Microsoft password.
- We do not sell your data, and there is no analytics or tracking product on this website.
- Some services we rely on, such as Microsoft, PayPal and our hosting providers, handle data on our behalf or when you use them. They are listed below.
- You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete it, by email.
What we collect and why
Your Minecraft identity
When you sign in, in the launcher or on this website, Microsoft, Xbox Live and Minecraft's services confirm that you own Minecraft: Java Edition. Breeze receives your Minecraft UUID and username and keeps an account record with them, your Breeze role (for example player or creator) and when you were last seen online. We use these to recognise you, to show your cosmetics to other players and to keep your purchases. Your Microsoft password goes only to Microsoft. The sign-in tokens the launcher receives from Microsoft are stored on your own computer.
Cosmetics and purchases
Which cosmetics you own and wear, where you placed each 3D cosmetic, the tag beside your name, your Wind Charge balance and the gifts you send or receive. For each purchase we keep the PayPal transaction ID, the item, the price and the time. We never receive your card or bank details; PayPal handles those.
Friends and messages
If you use Social in the launcher or the friends list in game: your friends, friend requests, the players you block, and your direct messages, which we store so they can be delivered. In Breeze, a conversation can only be read by the two people in it.
Support, feedback and email
Support tickets and their replies, feedback you post, and your username with them. An email address only if you add one to your account, so we can tell you when a ticket is answered; you can remove it or turn the notifications off. Creators who sell items also give us a PayPal email address for payouts.
Rewards
Launchers before 1.0.29 had a Rewards page: if you used it, how many partner ads you watched in a session, to work out your discount.
Server logs
Like any online service, our servers see the IP address, time and requested address of each request. We use this to keep the service running and to stop abuse, for example by limiting how many requests one address can make. Logs are rotated after 30 days.
What stays on your computer
The launcher's settings, your game folders, your worlds, your Minecraft logs and crash reports stay on your computer, in the .breezeclient folder. We only see a log if you send it to us in a ticket.
This website
- Browser storage. When you sign in, the site keeps your session and basic profile in your browser's local storage (
breeze_jwt,breeze_user) so you stay signed in. Signing out removes them. Your advertising choice, if you are asked for one, is kept asbreeze_ads_consent. - No analytics. There is no analytics, tracking pixel or session recording on this site.
- Fonts are served from this site, not from a font service.
- Player heads. Pages that show your Minecraft head, such as Account and Support, load the image from Crafatar (
crafatar.com), which receives your UUID and IP address with the request. - Hosting. This website is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
Why we are allowed to use it
Where the law asks for a reason (for example in the European Union and the United Kingdom), these are ours:
- To provide what you asked for: your account, the cosmetics you own and wear, purchases, friends and messages, support tickets.
- Our legitimate interest in keeping Breeze running, secure and free of abuse: server logs and rate limits.
- Your consent: email notifications, connecting Spotify, and personalised ads, each of which you can turn off or withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation: keeping purchase records for tax and accounting.
Services that handle data for Breeze
We do not sell or rent your data. These services handle some of it, either for us or because you use them through Breeze. Each has its own privacy policy.

|---|---|
| Microsoft, Xbox Live and Mojang | Signing in, checking you own Minecraft, downloading the game and its Java runtime |

| PayPal | Payments for Wind Charges and store items, and payouts to creators |
| Our email provider | Sends ticket notifications and receipts, only to an address you gave us |

Advertising and cookies
Breeze is free, and ads on this website help pay for it. They are served by Google AdSense, and the following applies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- How Google uses information from sites that use its services is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Before any advertising script loads on this site, we ask. Allow lets Google personalise ads with cookies; Non-personalised shows ads chosen from the page, without an advertising cookie. Your answer is kept in your browser, and you can change it here:
Ads never receive your Breeze account, your email or your purchases. The Breeze launcher shows no ads from version 1.0.29.
Where your data is processed
The services above store and process data in several countries, including the United States and countries in the European Union, so your data may be handled outside the country you live in. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on the safeguards in those providers' data processing terms, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your account, cosmetics, friends and messages: for as long as your account is active; deleting your account deletes them.
- Purchase records: at least 7 years, because tax and accounting law requires it.
- Support tickets: 2 years.
- Server logs: 30 days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and its data, by writing to support@breezeclient.net from the email on your account, or through a support ticket. Records we must keep by law, such as purchase records, are kept for the time the law requires. We answer within one month. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, such as objecting to some processing, taking your data elsewhere, or complaining to your data protection authority.
Security
Every connection to Breeze uses HTTPS. Sessions use signed tokens that expire, sensitive routes are rate limited, and the launcher only installs updates downloaded over HTTPS from Breeze's own servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that it never fails. To report a security problem, write to security@breezeclient.net.
Children
Breeze is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you are under the age at which you can agree to the use of your data where you live (13 to 16 in most of Europe), use Breeze only with a parent or guardian's permission. Microsoft accounts for children need a parent's permission to play online. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page, and announce significant changes on the news page.
